When I loved her and she loved me
and we were bound by tryst,
and naught in the world mattered to me
but my maiden of the mist.
Her heart was chaste as platinum clouds
her crown a rainbow arc
her eyes saw all and never failed
and shone in light or dark
That undulating, swirling form
has lived in Earth and Sky,
immac'late waves of snow-white air
once led my eyes to cry.
Our kisses were as water drops
embraces, soft as light,
but at their end, they disappear,
diminishing from sight.
